Michael Maske is the founder and president of ZM Medical. His company sells a variety of solutions for hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and long-term care facilities. The products that ZM Medical represents offer solutions for the operating room, anesthesia, sterile processing and infection prevention.
Michael is also the founder of the Nursing Success Institute (NSI), offering high-quality furthering education for healthcare professionals, both in person and online. NSI’s programs include a unique mixture of both personal and professional development topics such as nurse empowerment, interpersonal communications, sterile processing, and rehabilitation services for healthcare facilities.
An established author, Michael’s best-selling Voice of the Nurse draws on his 20+ years as a healthcare executive to shed new light on the stressors that all healthcare professionals face, making them newly relevant to all. He has also collaborated with “Chicken Soup for the Soul” author Jack Canfield on Life Lessons in Success. This inspirational collection features his story of raising his Down Syndrome daughter Zoey, as well as 35 other motivational tales from Canfield Certified Trainers. His latest book, The Empowered Nurse, co-authored with Alicia Shields RN, MSN, recognizes the increased post-COVID stressors and gives nurses a pathway for advocacy, growth, and career satisfaction. It is slated for publication in September 2024.
Michael is a frequent speaker at healthcare conferences, both as a keynote speaker and seminar leader. His high-impact topics include “The Perfect Storm,” which introduces his Transformational Nursing Stress Model; “Stress Reduction Techniques for Healthcare Professionals” with self-help tips; “Recover and Rediscover Your Why,” which helps healthcare professionals rekindle passion for their careers; and many more.
Michael served in the U.S. military for 12 years, first in the Army National Guard as a behavioral sciences specialist and then in the Air Force Reserve, where he participated In Operation Iraqi Freedom as a crew chief on the KC-135 aircraft. A Wisconsin native, he currently makes his home in Arizona, where he is married and has two children.
